Introducing Anderida's Success Scoring System
We at Anderida are continually looking at ways with which to better our practice. Right the way through the organisation we keep a close eye on the way that we do things and how we can make that better and it is through putting our heads together that we have been able to create a whole system in order to take stock and look introspectively at our own work and the work of those around us. The Success Scoring System enables Managers to evidence good practice with their teams as well as areas that could be improved based entirely on the Every Child Matters headings and our personalised take on it. During supervisions Youth workers are encouraged to discuss how their practice has been in line with the guidelines and opens a forum to discuss what has been done and what may need to be done in the future whilst receiving a score considering every heading. This system has however been utilised right across the board and the staff also score their managers practice, the young people score the company and the key workers score the young people as part of their monthly summaries. 2007 - A Great Year For Anderida Adolescent Care
It's hard to quantify just how hard everyone has been working within the organisation in order to further better our practice and to better the company as a whole, so here is a list of some of last year's accomplishments:
- A brand new website.
- An incredible new interactive online brochure that can be found here.
- Complete overhaul on the company to become 'greener.'
- Presence at Community Care Live.
- The opening of a new home.
- Company rebranding.
- The delivery of an in-house interim education package.
- The implementation of a progression scoring system for all of our young people in order to measure their outcomes.
- All Project Workers are now equipped with at least an NVQ Level 3 in Child Care.
- Outstanding in Ofsted's most recent inspection report.
- The development of further in-house training courses (see "Training").
- New Fostering Services, Time Out & Respite Facilities and Staffing Agency (details can be found on our website).
New Format for Employee of the Month Highlights ECM Headings
Anderida Adolescent Care have been highlighting excellent practice throughout its staff team for a year now but we have recently made adjustments to the selection process. The Directors sit down once a month to discuss those that have excelled under the Every Child Matters headings and base their choice on individuals who have contributed within the parameters of Staying Safe, Enjoying & Acheiving etc. It was felt that this would be an effective way to highlight the necessity of familiarising youth workers with these important headings and to keep them at the forefront of everything they do.
